Voice acting is missing for tutorials

I just started this game on tutorials, but there's no voice acting for the tutorial messages? It feels so dull and boring having to read it, rather than doing it and listening. Surely they have recorded some voices for it, does anyone know how to enable it? I can't really get into the game with a dull first taste.

Really, is voice acted everything really a requirement these days? This isn't Star Wars: The Old Republic. There just isn't voice acting for tutorials. Only the units and HUD warnings are voice acted.

Besides, in all honesty the tutorials are so limited that they would be dull no matter what they did with the voices. Unless the pirates narrated it...

Homeworld had voiced tutorials.

Why would you include a tutorial if you're not going to put the effort into making it good? Imagine how engaging your favourite films would be if they had no sound — just subtitles (hint, it's not as immersive/fun since your focus is divided).

Most people's initial experience is going to be with the tutorials, and if they aren't well done or engaging then some of the audience isn't going to carry on.

Also consider it from a disabled gamer's point of view, some people have trouble reading but voice can really help them (like it would help me).

Well considering part of Sins inspiration is games like Master of Orion and other old school 4X games, they didn't even have tutorials. You had to read the manual to learn to play those games. And that is basically what the tutorials in Sins are, a much more limited but guided session of reading the manual.

Don't get me wrong, the tutorials have a lot of problems, mainly that they are no where near detailed or inclusive enough to get new players up to speed, meaning they'll spend a couple of games getting killed until they mess with stuff on their own and figure it out. However, in my opinion the lack of voice acting is very very far down the list.

Also, while we can certainly take your opinion into account for future releases, additional voice-overs aren't the sort of thing that you should expect post-release support budget to be spent on. It'd mean taking that budget from genuine issue fixes and feature enhancements that would enhance the game for new and veteran players alike.
