I enjoy playing as the Vasari, mainly as the Loyalist because they're the most mobile and quick moving.
Yet, I cant figure out how to use the Devour ability on my own planet. I know you need to abandon it, but how?
Click on the planet. On the bottom of the HUD above the portrait of the planet is a orange (I think) bar, click it to scuttle ships or abandon planets.
I actually learned the hot key, ctrl+s, before I figured out it was that button, despite accidentally hitting it a few times.
I highly recommend having a hot key tied to scuttling, and make it one that is a two key thing (like ctrl + something)...
Some people (especially in windowed mode) have problems hitting the scuttle button because it is so small...if you hit the button accidently and don't catch till you only have a few seconds left, hotkey can be nice...
