Patch notes for 1.03?
Posting patch notes for the next patch would be much appreciated.

Law of Reversed Outcomes: the summoning of a Law as an attempt to predict an outcome will cause it not to happen, to disprove and ridicule the summoner.
Corollary: If the summoner is aware of the Law of Reversed Outcomes and summons a law (such as Murphy's) intentionally as an attempt to make it not happen, it will happen anyways.
OK, for short: the devs are evil.
Am I right? ![]()
Wrong. The Universe is evil, and it's out to get you, and make your life miserable(er than it is). And drop your toast with the butter side down.
Except in job interview days, when it will slip butterface-first in the side of your job-interview-pants.
Lots of balance adjustments and bug fixes that were reported. Really just part 1 on balance, as we don't want to break save games with this update. The following update will contain more changes (that will break saves) a few weeks afterwards. Sizable map pack is being tested as well for some point in the future.
What does this mean? Like, the first update will just address balance and the second update will fix bugs (that will still exist in the first update)?
Well they said they don't want to break saves in the next patch. So that probably means no major engine changes (I.e. no phase jumping orkies tied to upgrades). I imagine anything else could be on the table (I.e. nerf corvette damage, move striped to the core etc.). In other words the first patch will be number changes, the second one will be more fundamental changes that will kill people's saved games.
I'm going to be honest, why would I want to load a saved game that uses a broken version? People can turn off automatic updates if they want to...if SD has the changes, I say release them...
But I'm guessing SD doesn't actually have the changes yet, making it a moot issue....oh well...
People whined during the beta about patches suddenly breaking their saves. So it seems Stardock now releases engine changes months apart and with plenty of warning. Blame them if you'd rather have them when they get developed.
Eh, trying to change the numbers before adding code isn't a bad policy so I'm alright with this. We'll just have to see how things go when they change them.
This is great news, can't wait to see how it turns out. I've held off playing Rebellion because of the terrible balance problems but at least you guys are working on it. The map pack is a nice bonus.
v1.03 will fix bugs that won't also break saves. ![]()
Okay, that makes more sense...
So it means it's still a bug fix, and not for balance?
Well, I hope you can change the achievements of giving credits / metal / crystal, to not only "players" but also AIs!
Its for balance and bugs that don't require changing the engine, so that those changes/fixes won't break saves.
Changes and fixes that do require changing the engine will be made later.
But I thought any changes of the data files will always break the save files...
So I can't guess what the changes will be... I'm not good at Loto...... -;
IIRC, anything that removes entityModifiers or changes finishConditions will kill saves. There's still plenty of things you can do to entity files that doesn't involve breaking saves.
