Eradica Titan - Way too powerful?

See above.

So I just took on a Eradica Titan with my TEC Loyalist Titan, max number of Capital Ships and nearly 100 other assorted ships. The Eradica Titan was seemingly able to AOE one-shot almost every non-capital/titan ship in the fleet and pretty much defeated my Titan and all my capital ships all by itself.

I had every tech tree fully researched.

Is it just me... or is the Eradica monstrously, brokenly overpowered? One Titan should not be able to do all that.

Try underpowered. All the Eradica has going for it is Chastic Burst. Unyielding Will, in order to activate, means the ship needs to die, and is easily countered. So no, it is not brokenly overpowered. And quite frankly, I'm getting sick of these non-stop Titan OP threads. The only OP Titan is the Kultorask, which will (Supposedly) be fixed in the next patch.

The Eradica is fine, about the only thing in this game that can deal with a high level ragnarow titan.

The main problem is, that the Ankylon is just very very though.... but it has little else to offer for the late game. It weak firepower means that you have to rely on other ships to do the damage.

Try the Ragnarow... it will do a lot more damage to the Eradica.

The Eradica just feels op because the Ankylon and the Coronate are so weak.

ERadica's main selling point is it's ability to Wipe out frigates quickly.

That said, much of the potency of it's AoE actually comes from the damage propagation of the Progenitor Mothership's Malice ability.  Shut down the motherships and said synergy is gone.

That said, try building carriers- they are more durable then any other frigate, can keep dealing damage while running away(and they can easily outmanuever the Eradica, using it's slow turning speed to create some distance), and to top it all off bombers are probably bar none the best tools fork illing capitalships/titans in the game.

Though I'm really surprised a TEC Loyalist would have so much trouble with the Eradica- The Ankylon's Group shield was born to counter the Eradica's AoE.  If you're keeping Groud Shield maxed and have enough hoshikos(and perhaps a few armor upgrades to top it off) you shouldn't be getting your fleet dusted very fast by Eradica.

Not to put you down, or make you feel stupid, but your complaining that a DEFENSIVE titan doesnt do very much damage? The whole point of the ankylon is superior defensive abilities and high survivability. If you want more power was playing loyalist, either spam Kols and marza's and LOTS of kodiaks.

of all the titans ships I have fought (I almost always play as TEC rebel) there was one game where my ragnarov and 6 capitals (3 kols, 2 dunovs, and a marza) plus about 80 other frigs an cruisers took on a single kultorask, and after 8 minutes of battle, I could only break its shields, all the hull damage I did to it was quickly repaired. this may have been a glitch considering other playthroughs the enemy doesnt usually survive long enough to make it to titans and cant compare it to other experiences against it, but if that still rings true in other times of fighting it, then it is overpowered.

back to the main topic, play a rebels, if you want damage boosts, they get savage thrill which gives you a flat 15% damage bonus to all your ships, not to mention the powerhouse titan they get.

All I know is that the Eradica soloed my defensive titan, every Capital ship I could put out and a huge number of other ships while they were all fully upgraded.

Does that seem fair?

Perhaps Ankylon should be buffed.

Yes, bomber spam the titan and watch it reach level 6 in 2 minutes.  Am I the only one that sees enemy bomber spam as easy experience points?

Did you kill it? If it turned all blue you need to run away from that thing, it will kill itself eventually.

Also without mentioning the levels these titans were at means nothing. I'd totally believe a level 10 Eradica could solo a TEC fleet with a level 1 titan.

I know for a fact that while the Eradica can wipe out frigates in 2-3 Chastic Bursts, it takes much much more to take out capital ships and Titans.

So you're telling me that, after you had your entire fleet obliterated, you sat there for what would probably have been fifteen minutes with your one Titan and 14 capital ships and slowly watched each one of them go down on at a time?

Now I've had fully upgraded, level 10, pacted Eradicas before and I know for a fact it does not put out enough DPS on its own to kill a level 6+ Ankylon. Unless, of course, it was NOT alone and had fire support, and dying ships next to it to keep up that delicious 90% damage increase.

There are a couple more variables to account for too.  Who controlled the gravity well where the battle took place?  Advent get buffs to damage/shields when in their culture.  Where did you spend your upgrade points on your titan?  That might help others to help you more.  And the Eradica really was just by itself?

This isssue is titans as a whole...lvl 1 or 2 titans are not very useful (except VR)...get it to lvl 3 or 4 though and the only thing that can counter it is bombers and another titan....

It's just a silly game now....get a titan, get it leveled, then steam roll...the Eradica is OP because mid and high level titans are OP....some titans need some love (looking at you coronata) but the issue as a whole is more pervasive than just the Eradica...

I agree tbh. Just cause a titan has one bad aspect does not make it underpowered. The fleet wiping capability + untouchability with this titan when it has repulse is unbeatable.
