1.03 Advent Scout Bug

I was playing a huge random map and i had a advent rebel partner, but 5 minutes into the game i notice the AI built 30 scouts! and the AI didnt do anything with them except have them follow the fleet around, then the AI KEPT building more scouts so i was wondering if the problem has always been around or just stated in 1.03

Never saw the scout part but advent rebels have been really weak to play against. Last game I played I took over all 5 of their planets with no resistance besides every gravwell having a single colony ship. Ended up finding their capital ship and a few frigates a half hour later in the star gravwell...by then they were dead anyway...free xp though... 

Set them to  hard mode too... A bit out of practice but I figured they would givea bit more trouble to a rusty old vet...

I've noticed similar overabundances of scouts, not necessarily AR though. I've also seen the AI (TR) patrolling the rim of his territory while I bomb his homeworld(s). His titan never came to the rescue; oddly enough, it jumped to my home star and leveled to 10 off my AI partner, who sent regular sorties through the star.

It may be the AI's attempt to deal with mines, or maybe a new implemenation to get them to use martyrdom and timed explosives...

In either case, I've had it occur once in a game I've played and I just sort of lumped it in with all the other odd things the AI does...

I've seen the same. Suddenly the computer will start building huge numbers of scouts for no reason.

I've never really tried to pin down what causes this or if it's restricted to a particular race.
