Is there a way to clear mines (besides just running into them)?

You can use scouts however I find that to be major waste of time.

Scouts and a carrier with a fighter compliment seem to work well too.

This has been covered already in about 3 threads....

 

Scouts can see mines. (If you want to see the radius then select the scout and mouse over the mine sweep ability)

They used to sweep automatically.

They don't anymore because the devs were afraid of scouts hitting mines. Poor little scouts.
