when I try to start the game it instantly cashes and gives me this.

I have an Second gen I7 processor

a Nvidia GEFORCE GT540M 1 GigaByte graphics

6 Gigs of ram

& i validated the files twice

Check that you have the latest drivers for your card from nvidia.com. Outdated video drivers are the most common cause of startup issues.
