Galaxy Forge - I can't find it!

I've found the folder GalaxyForge in My Games/Ironclad Games/Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion but when I try to install the GalaxyForge 3 program from soase website the game crashes as soon as I switch to the Galaxy Forge maps list - any help?! I've read a few things saying Galaxy Forge is in 'Steam Apps' but I can't seem to find that folder either!

That error is just a standard runtime error. It won't help in any way. Maybe you got a minidump file that you can send to the dev's so they can figure out what's going on?

Also you don't want to use the Galaxy Forge program from the website, you want to use the one that Rebellion installs in the GalaxyForge folder when you update it.

and the galaxyforge folder being refered to is in the steamapps\ sins of a solar empire rebellion\galaxyforge folder for rebellion

i don't have a steamapps folder, my rebellion files are under games.

Yes you do. Look under Steam.

That is where the user files are stored. The Galaxy Forge is where the game is installed (I.e. with the .exe) in the steamapp folder. If you have steam you have one.

and here is a path to the galaxyforge program folder for 32 bit windows (installed on 'c' drive)

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy Forge.

for 64 bit windows the path would be(again assuming windows is installed on 'c')

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy Forge

the games galaxyforge folder is ONLY for the user made maps
