what is chasing the vasari

the very first intro shows an experimental transportation lab on the vasari world of kron.transportation would have to do with phase space.it would then seem that the vasari may have breached the barriers in reality and opened a door to either another universe, alternate reality or something along those lines.so something came through.something powerful that they couldnt handle and all they could do was run

The Advent Rebels think that something has corrupted the Unity. The Advent only attacked the TEC after the arrival of the Vasari. Perhaps the force pursuing the Vasari corrupted the Advent? Their level of Psychic attunement may have made them more sensitive to this force.

Sorry if the pic makes me look like a noob-hating curmudgeon, but I've seen this issue dredged up so many times since the Rebellion Beta came out. The modders would be the most likely to find it since they work on an intimate level with the game's workings, and that is the level that the clues are supposedly on. They found nothing. The guy who said that "the clues are in the game code" either was hyping or just hid the clues REALLY well, as I've heard no actual confirmation of clues.

Everyone has their own opinion on what is chasing them, from a swarm of nanobots the Vasari made that got out of control to care bears.

I also think that the evil the Advent Rebels found in the unity is related to what is chasing the Vasari. However I think its because whatever they are, are also telepathic, and where able infiltrate the unity without the loyalists knowing and the Rebels being able to figure out what it was. This doesn't necessarily conflict with the OP's idea though, perhaps the Vasari accidentally connected to another dimension that let these guys in.

Alright, seriously, enough with the ponies. If you want to put a thread for you guys that's totally fine, but it gets old seeing them in every single new thread that comes up. Unless it has a space helmet on, you can post space ponies at any time.

The guy actually said he knew us modders would be looking in the game files for it, and deliberately didn't put it in there. I believe whatever he put in is hidden directly in the .exe somewhere, which we can't access, or perhaps hidden in a texture file somewhere. My bet is that doing some weird combination of things will unlock basically a hidden achievement that will give the hint, because that actually has to be done in game, but who knows.

I will have to disagree with you there, GoaFan. I believe that what has "tainted" the Unity has absolutely nothing to do with the Vasari but rather with the TEC. My reasoning is as follows.

We first need to understand the "Unity", in a nutshell, is the collective (and collective mind in a sense) of all Advent citizens - the Advent do possess the ability to share their thoughts and feelings/emotions. When the TEC banished the Advent, it scared their psyche - no doubt that the scar was created by immense feelings of anger, resentment, and even the overwhelming desire for retribution. Since the Advent do share their thoughts and feeling, I feel as though the anger and retribution that their ancestor felt and suffered through still lingers within the Unity even after a thousand years - the original exiles died but the feelings lived on in the Unity since they more than likely shared their strong feelings with the younger generations.

I think the Advent Rebels believe that those feelings of anger and retribution have consumed the Unity like a tumor would take over a human body. The Unity was a way to gain enlightenment and instead it now contains nothing but anger, and this anger and wanting of revenge had become the driving force of slaughtering the innocent TEC (The TEC we know are innocent - would you blame the children for the father's crimes?). Through death and renewal of the Unity, the Unity will be restored to its true purpose - that of spiritual enlightenment.

Possibly one of the lamest things I didn't really read.

seriously, no more beating the dead horse of wtf is chasing the vasari.  The clue is supposedly deep in the coding where you can't get to it unless you violate the EULA or the clue doesn't exist at all.
