Hi - so I watched the replay. Basically, I'd read some of the stuff in this thread about starting Tec capital ships (dont' use a Kol - I'd recommmend Akkan until you get better) and how to colonize moons and asteroids with just a colony frigate:
Your early game colonization could be faster that way.
Were you able to scout and identify that asteroid as the key chokepoint planet to hold? Your opponent got it and built a Vasari SB there first. You need only bombers to ogrovs to attack it - a mass of LRMs (15 or so for a 3000 health starting SB) can work too - corvettes and flak and light frigates will all just die uselessly.
Your opponent got lucky with a much better string of planets (4 terrans inc. his HW) than you. There was a point in the game where you had a lot of resources, had all your planets colonized, a fleet, and your opponent had spent a lot on his SB. That's the point to start teching for and getting your Titan out. I don't remember if you got trade ports or not but if you didn't, you really should as TEC and string first and last port as far apart as you can. It was fairly short game so there isn't much more to say than that.
