Single player still broken with minidumps

Are they working on this problem? The game is really unplayable at least for single player

It's been working just fine for me, the only time I've ever experienced minidumps were when I playing with the Distant Stars mod (which is in alpha, hence the crashy shenanigans).

I've played from 1v1 to massive 10 player ffa on the random huge maps with multiple solar systems.

I haven't experienced any minidumps outside of when I'm fiddling with mods and do something that breaks the game.

I have had an incredible amount of minidumps since the last update. I really hope they will be addressed in the next update... :X

Yep, I'm getting minidumps an hour or two after starting a single player game on hard.

I don't have any "mods" and I'm crashing every game while playing solo 6 player map with the AI set to Hard.

I don't know what's causing them, but in the past my Sins game would play perfectly fine...until Rebellion came out...ON STEAM. I don't know what's going on, but I'm blaming Steam, lol. >_>

EDIT: About the Auto-Saves, do I just reload my save file that I saved manually before? Or will it just load up the last manual save?

Well I reload the last auto-save to play the closest point to where my game crashes. Doesn't do much good though because it just crashes again at or around the same point again, and again, and again....

Once a game minidumps, unless it's dumping to due something caused by a mod, and thus something that can be fixed, you may as well kiss it good bye and email the minidump to SD, as it's gone with the wind.

I got a response a while back from them about it, a fix will be in the next patch at the end of the month, the only way i could avoid a mini dump and keep playing was to turn my graphics down to about medium, and that bought me some time. I also changed tactics after reloading, i noticed when there was alot of action going on in my gravity wells when it would minidump, so i just gave orders to my units from the zoomed out camera position.

 

it sucks but if you have a good game going and dont want to lose it, try that till you get to the next autosave point and go back to playing like normal.
