Summary of patch 1.04

At a glance....

Pros

corvette new dmg type

Maw no longer affects corvettes! one OP thing fixed (hopefully)

corsev nerf

Vas loyals look to be further refined and more balanced

Cons

Nothing done about wail

nothing done about eradica

Vas rebels still banned, nerf of SB clearly insufficient

nothing done about kultorask

not enough buffing for advent loyal

no buff for tec loyal

Devs obviously have very little resources for balancing, or are completely disconnected from the realities of their own game

no buff for tec loyal

Um, they got two big buffs. Disruption Vortex now disables other titans, and they can build twice as many superweapons as anyone else.

nothing done about kultorask

With VR banned can we be sure there is even a problem with the Kultorask anymore?

Also, vorastra with maw still OP, u cant use corvettes against its other aoe... so maw not affecting corvettes in effect... does nothing, LESS than nothing by lulling u into false sense of security thinking to counter it with corvs.

Do the devs (AKA manatees in a pool) even fkn play this game?

Kultorask is easily defeated with antimatter depleting abilities and bomberspam. I don't consider it OP any more.

The type of attitude you're displaying typically leads to getting banned. Insulting them tends to just get the devs to label you a troll and promptly ignore everything you've ever said.

Blair Fraser, Ironclad chief, mentioned yesterday in a Reddit talk about Sins of a Dark Age that he recently went onto ICO to play Sins and got stomped. It was cool to hear he still plays it online like that at times - I'm curious if he hopped into one of the 5v5 games. He also said he plans to play Sins of a Dark Age in MP as well and expects to get stomped. Also, cut out the trash talk of the devs - there's been enough bad blood and silence - we want to encourage a dialogue, not drive them away.

It is called Disruption Matrix. ;P

And it isnt such a huge buff... it certainly gotten more useful but it still pales in comparsion to what other Titans can do.

As for the superweapons, while the indeed now can field the double amount of them, their poor offense means that you wont have as many planets as your enemy. So at best you can have 1.5 times the superweapons they could have.

But then Novalith spamming is only of limited usefulness against a human enemy.

Your insults are unjust.

So shut up!

Wail is probably the hardest thing to balance in this game.

It can be really powerful but also extremely situational so touching something on it right now would either make it brokenly OP or worthless.

TL isn't exactly bad it's just their Titan for the most part is pretty much worthless till higher levels compared to the Ragnarov which is a threat for all levels 1-10.

AL needs buffs I can agree with that

VR in the military slots arn't as threating anymore. The biggest threat comes from the eco slot VR where they can have a great economy and churn out really poweful SBs at no fleet supply cost.

Kultorask can be most countered by bombers and keeping your fleet a distance away from it. Also I believe LRMs with Akkan at least can outrange the Kultorask abilities.

On a side note. You really need to tone it down. Nobody likes to hear you whine in a rude manner.

I agree. If we can handle this as a community to change the discourse that would be best rather than relying on moderators for every situation.

Just tone it down and speak to the issues you have with the game and cut out the personal insults.

And does it seem the AI isn't interested in making Alliances with anyone anymore? I'm doing my usual 4v4 on Systems of War and no one is interested in forging alliances with anyone. Dey be hatin' ya'll.

They do still forge alliances, I'm playing a ffa on huge, 2 Vasari Rebels teamed up in another system, and to oppose them, an advent rebel and a TEC loyalist teamed up, I joined them, and an Advent Loyalist joined the side of the VR. Also, it seems that Nano Leech is not interrupted by Disruption Matrix for some reason.
