How can I destroy 'phased out' Vasari mines?

As the title says, how the heck do I destroy phased out Vasari mines? I am playing a very large single player game and a lot of worlds I take from the Vasari are surrounded by phase mines that I can't attack.

So, how can I detect them as TEC so they can be destroyed?

All mines are "phased out" regardless of faction.

There are only 2 ways to clear a minefield:

1. Use a scout (Arcova Scout Frigate, Seeker Vessel, Jikara Navigator). It can reveal mines within a certain radius (displayed if you select the scout and however over the passive). Once being revealed the mines can be targeted and destroyed.

2. Give one or more DURABLE ships a move order to every single mine..... they will detonate then. This is often quicker than moving in a scout, however it requires some ships that can take the punishment.

I generally make a "Mine clearing" squad of 4 scouts and 4-6 flack frigs.  Set them to stick together and let the squad roam for a few minutes in each well.

Mines, what mines?  ;P

Thanks alot. No wonder I could never figure it out. I don't usually deploy Scouts with my Military forces. Seems I will have to include a few Arcova's in there for mine clearing.

Thanks guys!

Also of note is the fact that Advent Loyalists get a research upgrade for their carriers which allows them to "convert" nearby enemy mines (though this makes no sense, it is very handy).

Indeed. This is by far the best anti mine ability.... good range and very quick.

The only drawback is that it does not reduce late game lag, as the mines are still there.

How do you stop the damn AI from building like 70, god I wish I could just take them out of the game, so annoying watching my frigate fleet fly through every single one as soon as a scout appears on the other side of the gravity well, damn lemmings....

You really can't unfortunately, but if you have Rebellion my Enhanced 4X mod reduces the max number of mines per gravity well to 20 at the most. By increasing the range of each individual mine and making it so they deal over time damage rather than exploding once, I think it both mines better for both players. Players on the defense do not have to waste time rebuilding minefields, and in theory they can do much more damage, while attacking players won't take a ton of damage if one of their units briefly wonders into a mine's range, and the lower total number makes it less time consuming to sweep mines.

Well there isn't a mod specifically for it, but I think Zombie's Sins of the Fallen has one faction with some ships that look like it. Well he says it's from an anime captain Harlock I guess, but it all looks the same to me.

As far as I can tell the Rogue Loyalist Titan is the Space Battleship Yamato, even being called the Yamato Titan.
