Request for feature in the next patch.

Its a small thing. I make custom maps with preset spawn locations without randomization. Many of them work for many different configurations but sometimes that means I have to skip preset starting locations in the order of assignment. Thats not possible right now. I would have to create a new map file for it to work without the intermediary spawn points enabled. Could you make it so that closed unoccupied player brackets make it so that the spawns are not taken. E.G. I have players 1, 3, and 5 on one map set up but they spawn in 1,2,3 because there is no player 2, 4, or 6. I am guessing that this would be a pretty easy change to implement. Allowing full starting location choice would be nice, but I can see how that would be difficult and it is more than I need.

Take some time to figure out how to multi-thread this and your game will be the best out there in the RTS market place.

Careful. As I was told earlier; multithreading is a word of war on these forums. It will probably come in sins 2. Meanwhile try TSOP stuff. It really fixes lag. Some mods also remove light carriers and increase the cap ship max. This really helps to control lag.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

64 bit not a word of war. It's just an old beaten down topic that wore out its welcome, because we know that it's not gonna happen with Sins 1.

You do have to give the Dev's credit for stretching this 32 bit engine as far as they could, and for the support they have given over the years. Rebellion is almost at the point to where you really don't need TSOP any more. The dev's are finding more ways to optimize with each update. The current Rebellion version of TSOP pretty much just converts the TGA textures to DDS format, and focus's on graphic optimization only. So that you can play longer before you hit the usual late game CPU lag. You can find the latest version of TSOP here

You can also use strike craft auto launch, and recover mods on top of TSOP. Which will help the late game lag issue some more.

All this is kinda off topic, but i just wanted to point it out, and un-hijack this thread.
