I have been meaning to make this post for a long time, and after finding out today that nobody knows who or what is chasing the Vasari, I have decided to create a thread about it.
But I don't want this to become a debate over what it is, rather, I want this thread to be a place for ideas to rise about what could make this race different in (possibly) Sins 2.
For example, I would like to know which colors you think are best to suit this race. TEC have tan and yellow, Advent have blue, blue-gray and purple-gray, and with the AR a bit of yellow, and the Vasari have black, dark gray, orange, red, and a bit of green. What colors shall the new race get?
What should the style of the new race's ships be? Spiky, metallic, and robotic? Wavy and curved? What should the devs take inspiration from when designing the new race's ships? With the TEC it is obviously industrial machinery, with the Advent is is mostly sea animals, and with the Vasari it is mostly bugs. What would the new race bring as a new style that would be different from the current races?
What should be the new race's focus? Economy? Speed? Firepower? Research? I don't think diplomacy. Another field?
Should the new race be split up into two factions? Should Sins 2 keep the current system of each race having 2 sub-factions?
What should the new race's voices be like?
What special research or powers should they have to make them unique?
Their culture?
UI design?
Music style?
What would they look like?
What would the new race's weapon systems be and how should they look?
How would they interact with the other races, story-wise, assuming there is a campaign?
You don't need to answer all of the questions if you don't want to.
I am just hoping that they don't end up dull and uncreative. I really want Sins 2 to be massive and amazing and beautiful, and if the devs decide to throw a fourth race in there, I want it done right.
Again, I just wanted people to discuss here not what the new enemy is (that has been debated to death) but what they could mean as an addition to Sins. The finer aspects, if you will. I look forward to updating this thread with any good ideas that come forward.
