avalible comple mods for rebelion

Hi guys been away for a while just now getting back into game play.

anyway I have two questions.

1) are there any completed mods for rebelion?

2) got a new system and its running windows7 can anyone help me with the path to follow to prep a mod for addition into the game?

I know that you have to open the package into a particular folder but with the set up of windows7 which I am not fully familiar with the paths for yet and with the game running though steam it is kinda hard to get just that small matter of finding the mod folder for the game to plug it into the game from.

We modders tend to be perfectionists... nothing is ever fully "completed". ;)  That said, there are several very playable mods for Rebellion. Here's several good places to look for mods, though some of the lists contain mods for earlier versions of Sins, not just Rebellion.

I've personally played my Enhanced 4X Mod, Sins of a Galactic Empire, Fall of Kobol and Infinite Space and can say they're in good working order. But as for recommendations we really need to know what kind of mod you're looking for.

I'd say at this point most people are running windows7, and they made the mod path much easier to find in Rebellion. All user generated content and several other important folders are located in the "My Documents" -> "My Games"-> "Ironclad Games" -> "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion" folder. Since Rebellion is currently at version 1.1, you'd put any mods in the Mods-Rebellion v1.1 folder.

thanks, I figured out how to find the path today and installed Distant stars it is one I realy enjpyed and found that when closeing the game it seems to shust down much quicker and smother, there was one mod that I was playing back when I had and could find a good uncorupted version of the sins trilogy that had dyson sphers ring worlds and the like I dont remember what it was called right this moment, if you know what one that was and if it has been updated for rebelion I would love to know thanks.

That was probably Maelstrom. However like Distant Stars, I think it only has a beta versions available, and doesn't have all the content it had from Diplomacy (though unlike Distant Stars I think its perfectly stable).

you know I have been really thinking about your commentt about what I am looking for well to be honest alternate races as well as the standard, not a full conversion mod but something that adds more to the game as I said races and more intresting planets maybe even ships that are well ballanced and work well with the races that are added to the game.

Well, Maelstrom also had the original races playable, in addition to the 3 new ones he created. However, in Diplomacy they were not that well balanced IMO, the new ones where far more powerful than the default. However, he said that he would address that problem in the Rebellion version, but I have not personally played that yet.

Star Wars: Requiem was the first mod that sounds like you are looking for. It added two Star Wars factions but the original races were still playable and the whole theme of the mod was that it stuck to Vanilla style gameplay. I used to work on that mod in Diplomacy, but I'm not sure exactly what the Rebellion status is other than its playable. Eventually I'll be making my own Star Wars mod that will also keep the original races but will be based off my Enhanced 4X mod rather than strictly Vanilla Rebellion gameplay.

I'd also highly recommend you check out ZombieRus' Fall of Kobol mod. It's part of his "Sins of the Fallen" mod package and has broken up all the races into modular parts. The mod adds two Battlestar Galactica races and you can pick and choose which of those 2 races or original races you want to play with. He also has 3 or 4 more races he'll be adding to that system eventually that he had in Diplomacy. ;)

Requiem is perfectly stable and adds the Empire and Rebellion races. There's not really any documentation, but all the custom models/audio is there.
