Can't patch Trinity?? HELP

Hi all, first post as you can see.

I just bought retail Sins Trinity (actual physical DVD), installed it, and then set about trying to patch it...

Impulse won't let me create an account, so no help there.

I create an account at stardock.com, my installation of Sins Trinity is apparently detected and a patch to download is offered. I download it (SinsTrinity_1.33_1.37_patch.exe - 22.9MB), run it, and it reports that Sins Trinity software is not found, and therefore does nothing.

This leads me to the following questions:

1) How can I patch the game? I did pay for it after all. Is Sins Trinity considered abandonware now?

2) Will the mod and mapping tools work with the unpatched version of the game, in the event updating this game is no longer possible?

have you tried looking in the stardock store for the full trinity download?

atmittedly it is a BIT larger at 1.07GB but will do a full install of trinity at the current version for you.

Hi Sinnac I have the same problem.  However, I cant download the full game as I have a data limit.  When I run the patch it says "sins of a solar empire-trinity could not be located on your system.  re-install sins of a solar empire-trinity and then run this patch again."  Reinstalling does nothing.  Hopefully someone can help us both

destroyer of the world, says... spent 3 hours working with the patch, changing the rededit and the sdactive and stuff, using both app's and still nothing couldn't be bothered downloading a digital file, waste of data nodes, if you build it and it don't work they wont come back..
