Hey everyone,

For those of you that don't know, which is likely all of you, I was in a bad car accident on Feb. 21, 2010 & one of many injuries includes getting a TBI which is still affecting me & in a way put me "out of the loop" of things for 3 years so I'm getting back into all of the games I used to enjoy on a new, better laptop, they are mostly the C&C series as well as similar RTS games like this one. So if I may ask for someone to in a way hold my hand as I get back into the games with makinga good, natural strategy. PLEASE? :)

My bad, bro. Hope it's getting better soon.

Which version do you owe and which race do you prefer? What do you still know about Sins?

I own the Trinity before it was made a full package deal all latest patches done as well as the new Rebellion one. My fav race is between either TEC or Advent. If I were defined by any gamer category, I'd likely be mostly "turtle" not that I build up a shit load of defenses or anything. But when I hit I throw in mainly heavy-hitting ships.

Hmmm, okay.

The question is: Single player or multi player? Because you obviously have to play a human different than the AI. Nevertheless I wouldn't recommend you to be too defensive especially early game-wise. When you play Advent, double-expanding with a Progrenitor Mothership in the one direction and with several Scouts (they counter early LRFs pretty well) and Disciples in the other works fine. Moreover, you should try to get Illuminators ASAP, because they share their +damage research with the Beam Defenses, which makes researching them more efficient.

Also, IMO the Advent have THE BEST defensive combo with Synergy-upgraded defense platforms, Shield Bestowal-upgraded Hangars, repair platforms and Ikonus guardians. Add a starbase and maybe some more defensive fleet and you have a very strong contain.

For the TEC I am not that much of an insider, but I like to go mass LRF (early research, low costs). My favourite cap is the Akkan - man, that thing is hard to kill... Besides, the two of them (LRF & Akkan) can be combined well with Targetting Uplink, increasing the range and hit percentage of all nearby allied ships. Add a dozen of Flak frigates, Hoshikos and Kodiaks and you have a decent attack force. It's a common strategy though, I think.

For more detailed information there are sooo many forum posts that help really well. Otherwise just ask for more "advice". :-)

Wow, I think I've remembered MANY things after playing Rebellion a few times. I mainly enjoy playing my comp games via Steam or Origin gaming clients, if anyone cares to co-op some online RTS games! Please keep in touch, everyone via my e-mail: [email protected] :)
