error when trying to play online says game is not updated when it is

Okay so i searched the forums didnt see anything remotely close to my issue at hand... i own trinity obviously and rebellion... although i despise steam i figured the benefits of being able to play the game online would out weigh my utter dislike for steam... and now even though my game is updated and all it is still not letting me play online everytime i hit the little ironclad online thingy... it goes on to tell me my game is an older version of sins and then it stops trying and puts me back to the main menu.... any ideas why>?

STEAM >> Library >> right-click on the game >> Left-click PROPERTIES >> Local Files >> Verify Game Cache

Alright so i did that it keeps saying it can not verify it... i have uninstalled deleted all data re downloaded and re installed the game and it continues to tell me it can not validate game cache.... it says " 1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired"

modified files, cheat files, pirated copy, unverified cache etc etc.

Buy from steam or face the wrath of god.

Or you could be attempting to play a mod-enabled version of Sins, and you still only have Vanilla.

I'm fairly certain this is meaningless...a dev recently posted that you will always get 1 file that fails to verifty (I don't remember the explanation)...

I know it doesn't help you, but at least you won't keep trying to go that route...

You didn't change all your game files from BIN to TXT did you?  I assume not, but it never hurts to ask....

Just to get the basics covered, you do have version 1.1 of Rebellion right?
