So my friend has the original sins of a solar empire, now if I purchase Rebellion will I be able to play with him, or would he need it as well?
He'll need Rebellion since the original is literally 3 expansions behind the current.
Rebellion is a stand-alone so he only needs to buy Rebellion not Trinity, Diplomacy, nor Entrenchment.
You could get trinity and play with him, but not Rebellion. Ideally he'd update to Rebellion as well but if that's out of the question trinity is the best option.
