Error activating game

I just bought the game.  Trying to jump through hoops and register before I get to play (which, as an aside, is incredibly annoying).  I get the error message below, and cant play.  

 

Using silent activation with null serial mode.

Download: failed HttpSendRequest

Error activating the product
Please ensure the serial number entered is associated with the email you used and attempt to activate again. Include this log file if contacting support.

same for me, was on sale on steam. hopefully a moderator will see this.

Try this fix:Log in to Stardock website by using Internet Explorer. Don't log out. After this launch the game and see if Stardock launcher lets you in. In my case it worked.

I had similar account error when I first time played Warframe and saw a similar "fix" mentioned in their forum. Once one has "activated" account via IE it works for some reason...

The autoreply may mention checking the forums for common issues, but an actual support representative should answer your ticket as soon as it gets to the top of the queue.

I bought this game last night and had the same issue as OP. I just tried this (literally 2 minutes before posting this) and it worked. I have no idea why this works, but once I was logged in via IE the game had no issue activating. I strongly suggest giving this a try as it only takes a few seconds.
