So I have SOASE Trinity on a flash drive...

Just wondering if I can still install mods onto the game and how to do it, flash drive doesn't have the same modding path as it does on a computer. Would mods work if I just went through to the version of the game I want to mod (diplomacy, vanilla or entrenchment) and leave the mod there?

(for example)

E:\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Diplomacy

Edit: I do have a feeling people are going to say if I want to keep it on flash drive that it would be best to put it onto the computer and then move the game back to flash drive after installing the mods...

Well, you could just place all the mod files into the base game files but I don't think that is what you are looking for. I think you can still use a mod you just have to place it in the right spot. Go to the mod menu on the game and select show mod path. This will give you the pathway (and create it if it doesn't exist) to use for mods though to find them in the Windows directory you will need to set "Show hidden files" to on. Hope this helps.

Alright, I found the path in my computer's Local disk, How can I move it to my flash drive and still have the mods working? will it be as simple as copy/pasting into flash drive?

I already knew the mod path, I just got confused because I forgot about changing the settings for hidden folders and so when I moved the game to my drive the mod path wasn't moved with it.

Edit: Just removed all the files from my computer and flash drive, going to fully re-install as I didn't update it before the move onto flash drive and the patch won't work with it in my drive so I'll just install the mods I want while It's on my computer.

Would still like to know where to move the mod path folder (starting from the IRONCLAD GAMES folder) after I do move it all back to my flash drive :)

Not sure if you can. Trinity had to use the lame Microsoft setting for those things.

Just need to clarify that we're thinking the same thing as I know I'm not the best at explaining things.

If I copy and paste the "IRONCLADGAMES" file (which contains the last half of the mod path) and paste into my flash drive along with the main game, but not in any of the main game folders.

so it looks like (excluding the brackets)

Stardock Games (main game folder)

Stardock (Impulse folder)

IRONCLADGAMES(Last half of mod path)

Maybe. You just have to try it. I do know that others have tried to change the mod path and failed.

My thoughts exactly, just been waiting to move everything back into my flash drive, just need to find a small mod to test now...
