Custom maps not working

Got a steam version of rebellion. I put maps in galaxy forge folder, but they are not showing up. Am i doing something wrong, maps are outdated or what is going on?

I think, that they are old maps maybe. I have been trying to search an answer for some time, but i guess it is so simple, that i cant see it.

I would really really like to try out this star wars map https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sins_maps/222/ .

For some reason i got this "5-Star Fortresses Rebellion" map working. Probably, because of being a newer map. I also got a .tga file with .galaxy file. Do i need to put it in sins main folder (textures i think).

Is there a program out there somewhere or i can find some magic genie here and can "forbidden worlds" dlc screw up those maps?

Oh btw, i have a vista.

Given that map was published in 2009, yes that map is certainly too out of date. The map structure changed a bit in the Rebellion expansion so pre-Rebellion maps will not work out of the box, though it may be possible to update it. Look up Harpo's map updater, it maybe your only hope.

Also just to make sure you put it in the right folder, you need to put it in the Galaxy Forge folder in Rebellions "My Games" directory, not the install directory.

Someone should redo those old classics. I would and probably others would like to play them in rebellion.

wambamola, my map updater (rebellion beta) WILL update ANY old sins from mapversion 0(original sins release) to mapversion 3 (current trinity)) map to rebellion see reply 134 in the thread, AND read /apply the following answers.
