Hi ya community members:
Yesterday Stardock announced that along with Natural Desktop, and Aquarium Desktop 2009 that they were also retiring DesktopX. https://forums.wincustomize.com/447316/page/1/#3386652
You will see by reading the link that folks who either had purchased DesktopX as a standalone app or had a Object Desktop subscription prior to yesterday will still have access to DesktopX. DX's status has been changed to Legacy and is now showing as Unsupported.
This change only effects new subscribers to Object Desktop and not being able to download and apply DesktopX Themes and Widgets individually or by using Theme Manager Suites. Desktop Gadgets can still be downloaded and applied as they are standalone and did not require the user to have DesktopX installed to work. Gadgets provide the user the same functions as Widgets.
As always if you experience problems with the individual skins shown in the Suites Description it is requested that you contact the skinner.
Theme Manager does not work for everyone depending on which OS you have installed, hopefully it works for you.
I have not put together a Theme Manager Suite since April as I am waiting to see whether Theme Manager gets updated and becomes compatible with Windows 8 or suffers the same fate as DesktopX and moves to Legacy Status.
Thanks to everyone who has supported the community skinners by downloading their work and applying them to your desktops.
