Fallen Enchantress and laptop

I've got a question if anybody plays the Fallen Enchantress on laptop. I'm asking, because I wanna buy laptop with the modem that would run the Civ 5 or FE with no sweating.

I run Legendary Heroes on a Lenovo Y500. Runs fine plugged in. When I unplug, the laptop switches over to from dedicated AMD graphics chip to onboard Intel graphics and the game crashes giving a DX error because of the switch. If I restart while unplugged it works ok but is a bit slower and not smooth off the Intel chip.
