1 /span> I have nothing to do with the mod, at most help playing it and commenting on the errors seen, not to do those things (I was using google translator and I thank ... hehe)
2 /span> obviously I do not say to do the mod with those ships if the authors do not want to, I found it was too fast the refusal of the authors (for example that I wanted to do the mod to explain what his idea and / or show its prototype mod or if it could help each other in something, etc.. before deciding whether to lend their ships or not). my point is this, do you understand as to why I did not like the comments of the authors (seemed very rushed)? (In my first comment I would have to have explained more, but with the issue of using an automatic translator is difficult to put together phrases and ideas, sorry I'll try to improve it)
It may sound rushed to you, but this is not the first time this happened to me. A year ago or so somebody took our mod and put it up on ModDB as his (crediting me but not asking me for permission). ModDB was so kind as to take it down on my request.
I really want to make this mod, I've invested most of my spare time getting it to where it is now. I've asked for help with our effort time and again, and while some have helped (and still do) greatly, for most people, doing the work is too much hard labour. And I do understand that not everyone wants or can invest the time to create all that content.
We have done this work, we did not falter. And we continue to work on it for us and the community. And as long as I continue to work on this mod I cannot and will not allow someone to just copy my mod, tweak a little and release it as his own. As said before, if it were a different game engine I would help port the models/textures, as that would help the modding community as a whole. Also, it would involve real effort to get it done, something I do not see in the endeavour of webjoseivan1.
I'm working full time 5 days a week, and use my spare time to work on community projects (besides other hobbies, I'm just a mortal after all). I've released an editor to the Warrior Kings Battle community two weeks ago, including source, just asking for credit. I did this because there are still individuals caring for WKB and I do no longer maintain that editor.
But I still maintain the SOTYR mod. And as long as I do I will not allow someone to copy our mod.
Finally, if you would not have called us a disgrace, the reactions to you would have been different.
