I finally got here! Five years of Sins, and here is my first forum post. Today I would like to start an interesting topic, which, as I was told, had been already discussed in ancient times. I will be listing current multiplayer personalities, giving them rankings, explaining their tactics, and giving a description of their strengths and weaknesses. Let the Flying Pasta Monster forgive me for that.
This topic will be regularly enhanced and updated. I don't think I will handle it all at once. And yes, I have not yet decided whether I will talk about myself here .
I will be making different interactive menus etc., but I am not sure how to do that on this forum; I will appreciate any help and support from both administration and community. Let's begin!

The Best of the Best
These are the five greatest sins player for December 2013; the numbers are "ranks" in the top.
1. Grimm (steam name: Grimm)
Strategy ***** - Tactics ***** - Eco spot ***** - Suicide spot **** - Combat skills *****
Style: conservative, researcher, "micro"
Preferred faction: random player
Best faction: non-vasari
Strengths: effective fleet control, great tactical vision, unpredictable
Weaknesses: no major weaknesses; he can be defeated by very aggressive play. As of 14 Dec 2013, the author wasn't able to defeat or equally fight Grimm without feed advantage.
2. Doci (steam name: Fuhrer)
Strategy ***** - Tactics ***** - Eco spot ***** - Suicide spot **** - Combat skills ****
Style: agressive, spammer, dominator
Preferred faction: random player
Best faction: TEC Rebel
Strengths: colonization and expansion, timing, assault and attacking, resource control
Weaknesses: sometimes overexpands, too self-confident and therefore doesn't expect much from weaker players
3. Ghost (steam name: Ghost)
Strategy **** - Tactics ***** - Eco spot **** - Suicide spot ***** - Combat skills *****
Style: very agressive and very annoying "micro"
Preferred faction: random player
Best faction: TEC
Strengths: mainly very effective combat and tactical vision
Weaknesses: late game fleeting
4. Pemi (steam name: drunk&happy)
Strategy **** - Tactics ***** - Eco spot **** (for him its just another combat spot; Pemi rarely feeds) - Suicide spot **** - Combat skills *****
Style: domination, defensive vs good opponents
Preferred faction: Vasari Loyalist
Best faction: any, IMO Pemi is better as Advent than VL
Strengths: rushing, late game
Weaknesses: predictable, early game vs. skilled Advent or TEC
5. Faernal (steam name: Faernal)

Style: establisher, imperialistic, supporter
Preferred faction: Advent Rebel
Best faction: same
Strengths: game vision, ability use, team player
Weaknesses: bad researcher, too often falls to Red Button
Here I will begin to list players without such a detailed "top" ranking. The reason for it is that it was already hard to make a well-grounded list of the Best; for the main mass of players it will be impossible. I will try to list all main multiplayer figures: I kindly ask the community to assist and remind me of what I might have forgotten.
I will also try to give possible counters to their main tactics, where applicable.
Multiz ******* (steam name: Multiz)
Style: agressive, imperialistic
Preferred faction: Vasari Loyalist
Strengths and weaknesses, counters: you can defeat Multiz by making something unexpected. He is usually preparing for what he sees and doesnt scout extensively. E.g., if you were spamming cobalts and stopped increasing fleet, he will probably not expect mass LRM or corvettes coming from behind - more cobalts at best. He always forgets about mine control on Drone Host. But, regardless, he is a great sins master and don't expect things to be easy if you are against him. In eco spot he will almost always end fighting, especially as Vasari.
Achilloraptor ******* (steam name: Dr. Raptor)
Style: agressive, expansionistic
Preferred faction: TEC or Advent (in more recent games)
Strengths and weaknesses, counters: a great spammer with a good tactical vision, he will not go in any kind of suicide combat. Never let him outspam you early game - if Mike grabs the chokes you are dead; that's his biggest strength when he is in control.
