I was thinking that. im not sure how to do that if its needed. I used to play custom maps with a friend but he never needed to download it or anything. But it was with the in game editor so im not sure either
That is correctly. Unfortunately the game does not allow you to auto share galaxy forge maps like ti does with map designer maps. You'll need to send your friend(s) the map you made before they can play it.
Anyone who doesn't know what that is I also wanted to know how do you make "Hostile" Planets in galaxy Forge? in the in game editor it allows you to change the individual planets Neutrality making the planet Habited by non player specific factions. I hope someone can help me as im sure these question aren't going to be the easiest to help with. Appreciate anyone who can help or point me in the direction I need. Thanks
You need to open the map in notepad after you are done making the layout in Galaxy Forge. Go to the planets you want the militia to own and set the owner to "RandomMilitia". This will cause the same units that spawn on the map designer maps to appear. You can also set custom units for the militia to own with this method. Take a look at a map like this one I made in notepad, which has unique militia and pirate ships on almost every planet.
