how to enable capital victory with galaxy forge

I built two galaxies for me vs AI and it works fine.

However, when I start a game with Capital Victory selected, I am immediately defeated.

When I look at my planet there is no capital ship.

I think the game is unable to place a capital ship with my map created in galaxy forge.

Do I need to tweak something?

Thanks in advance.

Capital Victory is for capital planets, not capital ships.

Usually instant defeat (or victory) in custom maps is caused by you not giving every player a planet.

sorry.

I meant Flagship Victory.

The game works great until I turn on Flagship Victory.

The game should handle flagship spawning automatically, provided that you used the default templates for homeworlds AND you gave each player a homeworld. In addition to giving each player an owned planet, you should specify one to be their capital.

Thanks.  That worked.  How are crystal and metal asteroids controlled per planet?  My planets only have one of each.  I tried different templates but no change.

They are not controlled in the map file. It is set in the planet file in the game itself. In vanilla an asteroid can have 2-3 extractors for example, while a ferrous planet can have 4-7. You would have to make a mod to change these numbers.

That said, there is a resource income setting in the game options you can increase if the game is too slow for you.
