Here are some ways to counter mass strikecraft, especially mass bombers. I will list mostly advent or tec ways since i dont play vasari often, so here we go:
- Spam fighters. This works for all races, bombers get eaten by mass fighters, so having around 80 to 100 squadrons of your own strikecraft(mostly fighters) will do the trick. If you gain fighter superiority, you can also level your capship/titan with taking advantageous fights.
- As Tec, Get around 3 to 4 Kols, use flak burst(massive aoe vs strikecraft) when his fighters/bombers are around your fleet and burst his strikecraft down(combine this with your own strikecraft or some flak frigates). Dunovs Magnetize hull can help, but i've never seen it in use, however it disables abilities. If you are getting attacked by alot of strikecraft, upgrade your hangar defenses with the flak cannons, they work wonders vs strikecraft (and corvettes)
-Advent has telekinetic push on its halcyon carrier. it deals damage to strikecraft (not as much as flakburst) and additionally pushes enemy strikecraft away from the halcyon. If you go mass strikecraft as advent, consider getting a rapture battlecruiser to buff your strikecraft.
-Vasari Kortul Battleship has scramble bombers, but not sure how that works. It only prevents bombers from attacking but does not damage them. Also the phasic trap upgrade on vasari hangar defenses might be usefull to hunt enemy strikecraft down.
- flak is very strong vs fighters but only decent against bombers. get a maximum of 20-30 flak frigates if you struggle against strikecraft, but not really more since they dont fare well vs other threats (Capships, light frigates, Heavy Cruisers ). Corvettes can target bombers, but die to fighters.
