Doubt I'll be getting to ship designs or anything but if you just need some faction and leader pictures just tell me what one's and where to get them and I'll convert them over for you. Links to the pics are fine. Might need instructions on logos though as I never got into 40K much. If it's just crop and convert to PNG though I got you. Just point.

What I can do is make pictures and you'll just drop them in your folder. From there you'll have to make the custom races themselves from the in-game creation tool. I just make faction pictures. LeaderBG's, FG's, Logos, and Portraits. I'll see what I can do about knocking a few out tonight. I do like the Necrons, but yeah I just do pictures bro.

Np man I can zip them up and throw on Filefront or something too. Not sure if you need dropbox just to download from dropbox, just for uploads/hosting. They'll be in a "Faction" folder you'll just drop in \Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\ on top of your current Factions folder you already have there. It might ask to over-write, just say yes, and it'll add the new pics.

Here's a quick Imperial Faction to at least get you started tonight, my friend. I'll see if I can't knock out the Necrons and Orcs tomorrow dependent on time. This one comes with 1 background, 1 foreground, 2 Logos, 1 portrait.

Glad you like them. Cropping the Emperor took longer than expected. I cropped him once at a zoomed in res, then when I put his layer over to the PNG it took the whole white background with it I had already cropped out and I had to repeat the process. Not sure why exactly. If not for that though I probably could have knocked out another last night.

He just does pictures. If you follow the instructions he laid out above and drop the images in the right folder they'll show up as available portraits when you create the race using the ingame editer. Blood for the Blood God!

I should have been more clear on the various factions. Chaos is the only 'race' worthy of doing five different portraits for. There is Chaos Undivided whose main champion in the 40K universe is Abbaddon the Despoiler, the right hand 'man' of Horus the Betrayer whom died in battle with his father the God Emperor of Mankind during the Horus Heresy. A seven year long battle that tore the Imperium of Man in half, pitting brother against brother, more than ten thousand years prior to the 40K setting. 40K literally means the years are in the 40,000 AD/CE range.

Chaos is the unifying reality of the four opposing Chaos Gods. There is Nurgle, God of Disease, Decay, and Destruction; His Legion is the Death Guard. Then there is Khorne, God of Blood, War, and Murder, His Legion is the World Eaters. And Slaanesh, God of Pleasure, Passion, and Decadence; His Legion is the Emperor's Children. Finally, there is Tzeentch, God of Change, Evolution, Intrigue, and Sorcery; His Legion is the Thousand Sons. Each God is bent on warping reality to their ends using their own special brand of evil. 

Now, each of the four main Chaos Legions has their own leader and champion that any 40K enthusiast would recognise. However, for all of them, except Chaos Undivided, I think the images you can find of the four gods would be more interesting as race leaders.

Most of the other races I mentioned: Necrons, Orks, Tau; don't have any such divisions. The main exception to this are the Eldar, whom have like sixteen factions but only the two major ones 'Eldar' and 'Dark Eldar', which I mentioned. Hopefully this will help you understand our requests a little better. If you want more info on the who and why, just drop in a post.

Here's the Necrons, Hosted on Photobucket. I made a main Photobucket Folder and inside that folder are folders named after the folder the PNGs go in. So, if it's in the LeaderFGs on the bucket, it goes in your LeaderFGs folder in \Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions. I'll place more pics in those folders as time goes on so keep an eye on them.

These are all in PNG so you could just click on them and save just make sure you put them in the right folders. I'll try to get to Chaos tonight but I'm not sure if I can. May take a day or two considering lack of free time.

Re-adjusted the Necron foreground pic. Gave him a green outline and lowered him down some so it didn't look like he was floating in mid air. He looks pretty bad ass with that second background. You can also now see the orb he's holding and his scythe. Might have to adjust the Imperial foreground as well.

No worries brother, glad you guys like them. Don't get your hopes up too much on All of those though. That's a lot of pic work considering just the Necrons took me a good hour to do, and that's without loading them up in game to see how they look (notice I just fixed the Necron foreground and have to go back and fix the Imperial). Just for variety I'll get around to at least one flavor or Chaos, though I'll throw in Multiple Logos so you can have your pic of Chaos flavor, and I'll do the Eldar and maybe Dark Eldar. Anything more than those however is a bit much especially with me not being all that big into 40K. To me once you've seen one space marine you've seen em all. I'll get at least 2 or 3 more done before I stop though. I've also got my own work to do you know .

Edit: Fixed the Emperor so he's not floating. Also gave him a golden glow.

I'll at least do 2 or 3 Chaos. Eventually I can get to them all, but that will be a bit. Just depends on how fast they go. I've actually found some really cool pictures of painted miniatures that should make for awesome pictures. A buddy of mine is hard core into 40K and he's asked me to paint a few of his but it's one of those things that's been on the back burner for years.

I dropped the Imperial pics on that same Photobucket page that's sorted by folder. Expect at least a few more pics to show up there some time later tonight.
