Ships Ignore Phase Stabilisers

Hi, all. I'm new here. (Although I think I registered before but I can't remember my login details.)

I have played Sins for ages and enjoy it (until I pick faults with it eventually!)

I have added a couple of pictures to explain my point that as the title says my ships ignore the Phase Stabilisers on planets. It doesn't happen all the time but it is happening now on 2 planets in question. I tell them to go from Driani (Picture 1) to Lingas (Picture 2) directly, yet they ignore my command and choose to go to Wiesenthal (Picture 3). and I don't know why. It makes less sense to take 20 years to travel at sub-light speeds through a gravity well of the source planet to go to another, diversion planet to take 20 years to travel at sub-light speeds through the diversion planet's gravity well to go to the destination planet than it does to go from the source planet to the destination planet directly via the Phase Stabiliser nodes... Although you can't see it in the pictures, my ships are on the top-left of the gravity well on Driani, hence my mentioning travelling for 20 years at sub-light speed to get to Wiesenthal and from Wiesenthal to Lingas.

Can anyone explain to me why this is happening?! If they want to do it for the Vasari Empire, then they need to obey orders!

P.S. Isn't there a preview option available before posting posts?

No-one knows the solution to either problem.

How recently was either node built? Was either node completed being built after the order was issued? Was either built while the ship was in that same gravity well?

Hi. Thanks for replying.

The destination planet's node was built previously; only that node was finished being built while I gave the order to travel there. I noticed the node on the source planet was nearly finished being built so I stopped the fleet and waited for the node to finish being built. Then I ordered the fleet to travel again after the source node was finished but they still ignored it.

Is there a 'shakedown' time required sometimes? This happens randomly but it doesn't happen often.

End of f_farraday's quote

I've been playing this game for years, and I have noticed it does take some time for the pathfinding to adjust to a new phase gate. Just pay attention to your ships route, if they aren't using the phase nodes correctly, wait a little bit and try again.

Unless Blair wants to fix it of course. :p

I want to fix it but I can't seem to recreate it :(

I'll keep at it!

Blair, it's great to have you back on the forums! I remember having this issue as well, though I don't have any screenshots or files to show it. I hope you can track it down. Looking forward to the update, even if it's little stuff.
