All things being equal (same gfx options chosen) does the DX12 version of the game look better than the DX11 version?
As far as I know, presently DX12 doesn't actually bring many more fancy effects like other iterations of dx's did over their predecessors so I don't mean in that regard particularly. But I am sure in the PR stuff early on one of the things touted about DX12 in this game was being able to have all these 1000s of different light sources which DX11 couldn't really support. So I presume this means all the different lasers, rockets and thrusters etc. look more vivid or something in the dx12 version? (I am on dx11 for now). Perhaps even the lighting of the map in general?
If this is true I guess it will look particularly cool with the night option which will be coming at some point?
Or is this all wrong and both versions look the same in the game? (Just talking about looks/eye candy not the other advantages of Dx12)
p.s. IF they are different I assume in the benchmark they have to run the exact same thing for fairness of comparison. If that is the case does the dx12 version drop down to just render the same few light sources as the dx11 version or is it the other way round or something different?
