Time to update this thread with more stuff i watched since my previous post, 2017 edition!
Expanse - 2nd season - it was awesome, as expected. I would guess i prefered the first season more, but that one sort of caught me not prepared, i had no previous info about it. Now, i read the books, so i knew what was going to happen, so the moment of surprise was gone. That is simply going to take away bit of fun, no way around it. Still, highly recommended to watch to anyone who likes scifi shows.
Dark Matter - 3rd season - overall prefered it to second season, has some background storylines, first only alluded to, babylon 5 style - until more rapid development happens in last few episodes culminating in awesome season finale.
Killjoys - 3rd season - contrary to Dark Matter, i thought it was weaker than Season 2. Its quite funny, 2 years ago i felt Dark Matter was a superior shows, last years roles reversed only now to return back... maybe next year they will reverse again? Bottom line, it was okayish.
Narcos - 1st and 2nd season, now started to watch 3rd one, 2 episodes in. About Pablo Escobar and fight against colombian narcobarons in the 80s/early 90s. Great show. It makes you feel though, as if pretty much every other person in Colombia is some psychopath - the amount of violence depicted is beyond comprehension.
Designated Survivor - 2nd half of season 1 - goes on with its conspiracy story arc, unveiling more about the perpetrators. Then tries to be something like West Wing i guess, i mean being about politics and shit, i guess its a bit of a lefty show in this regard. I dont care though, cause what i like about the show is the conspiracy part.
Touch - season 1 and 2 - another show starring Kiefer Sutherland, this time as a widowed father of autistic son, who has some superhuman skills, more specifically he can predict future by writing some numbers. The first season is sort of a "feel good" show, there a things happening to certain people all around the world, all of it is interconnected and the boy sort of "navigates" the father to make things happen by providing him clues in a form of recurring numbers, so everything plays out the way people end up safe and happy. The episodes are sort of stand-alone, but there are things tying them all together, which gets even deeper in second season, where the show becomes fully serialized. This one is mostly about conspiracy, evil company trying to get control of the boy and other people like him to find out some god sequence of numbers, which could help them to predict future.
I got to say, i did not like the show at first, because the premise seemed too far-fetched. The stand alone episodes started to feel too similar too pretty soon, but luckily the show changed quite a bit with the conspiracy story-arc and i have to say, i enjoyed it ultimately.
Taboo - 1st season - weird show happening in 19th century London. Starring Tom Hardy. Its decent overall, but i dont know, at times bit confusing about what is actually motivation of main character. Safe to say, while high production values, not my favourite this year.
Knick - 1st and 2nd season - about a New York hospital, the medicine pioneers from early 1900s. Good show with some dense a dark atmosphere. 1st season was probably better than the 2nd one, at least i liked it more. Even though there is certain "criminal" sub-story in the second, which i liked. There are some pretty funny scenes, despite the show being serious otherwise. Like getting X-rayed just for fun, or trying to heal the cocaine addiction with heroin. I like medicine shows, always liked ER, Chicago Hope, Dr. House, Medical Investigation... while i am not sure i liked Knick as much as any of them, its at least different, which is good.
Game of Thrones - season 7th - continued being awesome from mid-point of season 6. At its best IMO, since first 2 seasons. Totally badass. Looking forward to final season.
Salvation - 1st season - about asteroid about hitting the Earth. Was expecting something like Deep Impact, which is absolutely awesome movie, one of my favs, but its different. More about conspiracies and stuff so far. But i still like it and wonder what is gonna happen next. Reminds me of Fringe somewhat?
Sense8 - 1st season - finished watching it. It turned out to be awesome. Some really great scenes, my fav being the conversation between Lito and Nomi characters in the Diego Rivera museum, with a Mad World piano version by Marius Furche playing in the background. Well written, well acted, well directed... simply perfect.
Thats all, i guess, not recollecting anything else. I have been watching quite a lot of Criminal Minds, actually on TV, but that is still ongoing, so not commenting on that.
EDIT: I see now i mentioned few of the shows before, so now with more detailed description again.
