Had the discussion been on any other forum section it would be welcome...
Look, I understand, and this is a fine line we walk, but *the only reason* I posted on that thread was because Gevan said something inaccurate about Nexus and I wanted to let him (and others) know that you could actually do what he thought couldn't be done, and how to do it.
I didn't take that thread off-topic, others did before me and I just exercised my right to clarify a relevant issue.
Problem is, you then deleted *all* the posts that said something nice about Winstep software - and included my reply to Gevan. I bet he didn't even get a chance to read it, and that meant the time I took to reply to him was totally wasted.
I know that different houses, different rules, but if you go to the Winstep forums you will find plenty of mentions to Stardock software there, including comparisons between ObjectDock and Nexus (and Nexus doesn't always come out winning, by the way). The two companies have an history together going back to 1999, after all. What you won't see is me deleting any of those posts - even though it can be said that the whole Winstep forum is strictly a support forum.
I had already told Neil I would not butt in into any OD support thread unless someone said something about Winstep software that needed clarification. He agreed with me because that is just common sense - and something needing clarification is exactly what prompted my reply.
I obviously didn't like what happened, but I'm not upset either - just wanted to clear this out.
In other news, there is a new public beta of Winstep Xtreme, Nexus Ultimate and Nexus just out of the oven.
The new release includes a brand new Moon Phases module, smooth Shelf scrolling, more clock alarm schedule options, the ability to individually configure sub-dock themes, icon sizes, etc..., parent docks now magnify even when sub-docks are open, NextSTART can now be made to reserve screen areas on monitors other than the primary, Nexus Ultimate now displays the full blow calendar when you click on the calendar module, and much more!
