Set detail animation zoom level

I've been searching and I can't believe I'm the first person to ask this, but...in GC2 you could set the zoom level at which the detailed ships became icons.  Is this not possible in GC3?  I don't see it in the options.

Is there really no option for this?  Maybe a mod, or a config change?

I think you can mod this, 

GalCiv3GraphicsDefs.xml in data\core 

Code: xml
  1. <StrategicIconDistanceInputHeightLow>500</StrategicIconDistanceInputHeightLow>
  2. <StrategicIconDistanceInputHeightHigh>3050</StrategicIconDistanceInputHeightHigh>
  3. <StrategicIconDistanceThresholdLow>4000</StrategicIconDistanceThresholdLow>
  4. <StrategicIconDistanceThresholdHigh>2000</StrategicIconDistanceThresholdHigh>

 

maybe playing around with this gets you what you want?

Thanks!  I'll play around.  I'd like to be able to zoom in closer, but still have the icons.
