So I love to "hate" the Mega Events.
Back in GCII the Mega Events really made each game unique and special. Though I will admit I usually reloaded when the negative moral everyone is saaaad one hit cause it was just so devastating.
in Comparison the Mega Events in GCIII just seem.... weak and pointless. The only ones that truly change the game are the PeaceKeepers, and the Artifact... and then ONLY if they happen early in the game.
In GCII the Jagged Knife, PeaceKeeper, and I-League events were great because they took all the tech of any planet that joined them. so you had an instantly powerful enemy... no matter WHEN the event happened.
I would love to see the Space Monsters, Peacekeeper and other events scale in the same manner. If the Dread Lords come back late in the game they should come back with FLEETS of powerful ships and tons of legions or spore ships or something for invasion. The Pirate event needs to have powerful pirate ships... the Artifact should ramp up faster if it spawns late game etc etc etc...
if it was able to be done in GCII with a much less advanced engine this should be able to be put into GCIII right?
