Planet Density changes in 2.5

Has there been any?

I'm using the same settings as before (Gigantic map, Uncommon Planets, rare habitable)

Before I was finding approx. 15 or so within reach before bumping into other civs (13 opponents) now the max seems to be 6.

Had a couple of starts where I have found none in the original range of survey ship, I have also found 0 precursors.

Using Crusade.

Questions: Is there changes to this as I found this a balanced number before & are all the precursors gone from 2.5?

I can't answer your question about density, but I can tell you that precursor planets are still there in 2.5.  I have 2 of them in my current game.  So they might be more rare, but they are still there.
