How to fix "Pink" in the Start Menu ?

Well there is a pinkish color which is the transparent color for bitmaps in window blinds, its 255, 0, 255 RGB vaule. It's probably something to do with transparency and wb 3.5 compatibility, dunno though. Just a guess.

Thanks Chi Chi Yeah, i was thinking the "Magic Pink" is the culprit, but does anyone one know if that IS it or can I fix it? The one user says it's only certain skins.

It's too bad we can't have both WB3.5, and 4 installed, and could somehow switch from one to the other............ it would certainly make it easier to track down a problem like this. Your Startmenu is fine here, but I'm running WB4.

if it's the pink that shows on the mouse over, u can't get rid of it unless the end user upgrades to wb4. that is, unless u want to redo ur start menu btw, u may want to change the background and text colors in the control panel. that blue background doesn't blend too well with the grey graphic. cheers and have a great day!

thanx Koasati and Pasley, so we are looking at a WB3.5 issue. But Pas, your comment suggests a remedy. Eliminate the use of pink/transparency altogether?

Wow, I just checked it out Pas. thanx I never even saw that setting but Im gonna investigate in SkinStudio now

yeah, if u want to remedy it so that the pink doesn't show for wb3.5 users, u'll need to eliminate the use of it for the mouse over effect. there are more experienced people than i who may have another remedy such as an easy workaround but i know of no other way to take care of the issue.

Well, I uninstalled WB 4.0 and re-installed 3.5 on my laptop to see if I could figure out the sitch...the mouseovers on the start there SHOULD work...I dunno where the pink thing is coming from...unless perhaps you don't have transparency enabled for that one particular rollover effect? I didn't take a long look at the code...but the rollover FX SHOULD work because others do for 3.5

Actually Shmoo, you nailed it!

After fixing what Pas pointed out, I read your post and checked it out in skin studio. The mouse over AND 3 Panel Items had Trans turned off. The first menu I did , didnt use them but it sucked , after redrawing it, i readjusted the margins but never rechecked the Trans. So many settings!!!

So , now i fixed that too and re-re-reuploaded my skin. Big thanks ((((((((Shmoo)))))))
