Earlier I was working on custom abilities and buffs in Sins of a Solar Empire and came across a very particular bug. The issue relates to the entityBoolModifier DisableFighterLaunch. Generally, when this modifier is applied, it prevents entities from launching strike craft and forces any deployed strike craft to dock with the entity in question. However, when this modifier is applied to PlanetModuleHangarDefense entities, the latter does not occur and any deployed strike craft are free to roam about and attack enemy units until they are presumably destroyed.
I have replicated this bug in vanilla SoaSE in this save file. Next to the player's starting homeworld is an Asteroid named Utopia. Soon after loading in, it will be hit by a plasma storm. Once hit, the frigate carrier's strike craft will be forced to dock, but those of the hangar defense will not.
