I have looked everywhere online and I can't even find one instance of anyone having this same problem. So basically, when moving a ship, the ship movement is "choppy" or stuttering. Not the whole scene, just the ship. Like stopping and starting every half second or so. It is especially noticeable when the ship is rotating for a turn. It's really annoying and makes the game unplayable, for me anyway. I made a video to demonstrate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D2JXuD2gFU
-Occurs with mods and ALSO in the vanilla game (sorry my video shows the Star Trek mod)
-Occurs even right at the start of a new game, with a tiny map. This is NOT a late game lag issue.
-I have a Core i7 @ 4.4Ghz, tons of RAM, and a Geforce 1080Ti
-Running Win10 64-bit
-Geforce driver 431.xx (also I tried downgrading to as far back as 350.xx or something like that)
-Freshly installed SoSE:Rebellion from Steam
-I checked and the problem even happens with the old original SoSE
-Reducing all graphics options to minimum, reducing resolution, etc makes no difference
-Disabling the Steam overlay does not fix it either
-Disabling Gsync doesn't fix it, though since only the ship is affected I doubt it would have fixed it
-Occurs in multiplayer or single player (I tried MP to rule out AI)
I have another PC, also a Core i7, Windows 10 64-bit machine, this one using a Geforce 970 (driver version 425.xx). Strangely enough the exact same issue is happening on the other machine. Which is why I am kinda shocked to not be able to find any other reports of it. I have tried so many things and am at my wit's end. It doesn't seem to be graphics card/driver related as far as I can perceive; more like something in the game engine configuration itself. But then again, who knows. Has anyone a clue or even seen anything like this? Please help!
