mods that add more distinction to the subfaction?

hello everyone, don't know if this belongs here but don't know where else to put it.

I'm just wondering if there are any mods out there that make the individual subfactions more distinct, like adding more ships and structures that are specific to loyalists and rebels beyond just the corvettes and titans. i already have E4X and love it, just want more along these lines

I've wondered that too. Most mods I've found are total conversions into another universe, or add on new factions to the original six. I think the Distant Stars mod may have something, but from what I've heard it focuses on new planets and stars.

I think Maelstrom might add a few units to the vanilla factions, however, it also adds new factions and at one point at least did not have the reputation as the most balanced mod. However, its basically the only one that has tried to replicate the vanilla Sins art style.

In my opinion E4X is the way to go, i always play it

I also enabled the 2 research mods of E4X and i must say, i'm happy that research keeps going.

I'm now playing a game ffa me and 5 of the hardest ai enemy's. It's been going for about 12h it's just me and 3 ai remaining, and my research is still going.

By using the research mods, the factions strengts are being more distingt, for instant AL is all about culture, now it's culture is insane,
