Skin Studio Installation Problem

I have Windows XP Pro SP1 and have just installed Skin Studio 396d.
When I try to edit in Skin Studio via Windowblinds 4 I get the following message.
"File Missing.......Skin Studio\English\uff.def
Please re-install or Register to get the full version supporting this file type"
I have un-installed and re-installed but still have the same problem.
Now when I open Skin Studio (Stand alone) I get a message that a previous use of Skin Studio was interrupted and do I want to try to recover. If I say yes then I get the same error message as above.
Can anyone kindly help.

I had also the same problem, and i fixed it by choosing firstly (and only) the "english" language in the options, then close SKS, reboot, then launched again SKS and it was OK (for me at least ...

)
