I have zero mods or DLCs. And I bought it through Steam. Every time I go to play this game, (always as single player) it usually crashes about 10 or 15 minutes into the game.
And I mean it crashes HARD. There's no BSOD, no Windows crash report, no dumping back to the desktop. It locks up everything - the keyboard, the mouse, windows, all other apps. I even had a music player running in the background one time and it froze mid note. The only way to recover is a hard reboot with either the power or reset button.
I can get through maybe 1 in 6 games without it locking up.
NOTHING else on my computer has any problems whatsoever. My file system is in perfect working order, my hard drives are all working perfectly. All drivers are up to date. Windows has no problems running anything else. I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling the game several times - all to no avail. Whatever is the problem, it's fairly consistent, and always has the same result. Playing in "safe mode" - neither Steams safe mode, nor Windows safe mode - makes no difference whatsoever.
