I have some very good news!

I have some very good news!

Well as most of you know, my girlfriend and I were facing being homeless and I was facing the possible fact of a job loss.

Until Today.

We got a 60 day notice to vacate the premises today so my better half started looking for a place to live.

We went to look at apartments but we got stumped with the credit checks and deposits. So we decided to call our Landlord to inquire about if she had other Apartments for rent.

She did.

So now we are going to move to a new studio Apartment downtown, and the best part is the deposit we would have got back from our current residence is being applied as a deposit to the new place so we barely have any money out of pocket for the new place.

The bad news is the only pets we have to get rid of is the dogs but hopefully a family member will take them in.

I am deeply gradified for those here who have helped me and prayed for us. I am VERY proud to be part of this community.

After all, Kona is not going offline! (although I know there is more to life than the Internet.)

Nothing goods comes to those who just sit on their hands and let life lead them around.

We are far from just "sitting on our hands" We are in fact actively searching and working to resolve the problem.

And to all those who have posted here: again thank you.

BTW Chance is a "she" dog.

We have decided that if we can not find a place by the end of this month we will have no choice but to get rid of Chance because we need the 400 bucks that would have gone towards next month's rent for the new apartment.

As it is we only will have about 350 dollars from our security deposit, about 500 if my taxes come back before the 3rd of febuary, and 700 bucks from Suzi's SSD money. When we moved in here we had 3000 bucks but now we have to scrap together money to move.

Alas I will conquer this problem with my chin up.

Now I am off to finish my Harry Potter book.

A special thank you to KG and CC.

China, thats a great looking dog. Here in Oz we put our phone lines up on poles or bury them. That might help the situation a little ?

lol@ratdog. My girlfriend just got a Chihuahua-Terrier mix that fits in my coffee cup, I found out to my disgust this morning. The neighbor asked what breed it was, and I said it was a "Why Bother."

Come to think of it, it was shortly after that I found the little fleabag in my coffee cup.

Hello

Dont know you or have not left much on your threads but here ia an idea

We have a group in this state called the MIDLAND group(try the yellow pages in your city) that are a group that help people with medical problems. Your girlfriends gentic problem and weight might get them to help you. What they do is help people for whatever reason find places to live and to meet your needs. If you have them in your area tell them about the stairs and such and maybe they can be of some help or point you in the right direction.
