Object dock or yz dock

Care to explain the issues with ObjectDock a bit more so we can help troubleshoot it? The only trouble I really had with OD is the weather docklet suckin up a lot of resources. But I have since go rid of it. Never tried YzDock.

In my opinion Object Dock is better, but it does still have some bugs. Since it is being updated (while y'z dock isn't and can't be) those bugs should be resolved. A lot of the time the issue is with the docklets in object dock.

They both do about the same thing and neither of them really does it better. however as I stated above object is being updated and its much easier to find support for it so if I used a dock I would use Object Dock.

Well every so ofter I run the cursor over the docks and instead of getting larger the vanish. Then a few secounds latter the whole thing just shuts off. I really want to get this thing to work becouse I have always hated the task bar. Thanks for the help.

Oh ya, I am using the weather docklet.

First, ObjectDock is not meant to replace the taskbar. For that you would look into ObjectBar. Second, how long have you had it installed and has this been happening since right after the installation? Do you have the lastest version, 1.0-- https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ Also post you pc specs and OS.

I installed it yesterday (it is 1.0) and it started acting up today. I took of of desktop x thinking that I had used up to much of the systems resorces. But that didn't work.

Also make sure you have the latest DirectX version and a decent video card...

yah, which gfx card do you have and do you have the latest drivers.. I've seen quite a few posts about OD killing system performance but it runs like a champ on both my home and work PC's..

You could probably keep most of your questions in the one thread.....and not start a new one for each.

Look on them as 'conversations', not Q and A...

I would skip OD and get Moby Dock . It runs sooo much better for me that OD.

Hmmm, I think you are wrong:

ObjectDock is a program that allows you to have a nice animated launchbar/taskbar on your screen that reacts to your mouse when you mouse over it. In short, it's a task bar and program launcher that does it with style.

I replaced my Taskbar with Objectdock. I don't use it anymore.

Although Windowblinds and DesktopX may rely heavily on your video card, ObjectDock does not. ObjectDock relies more on raw cpu power.

Close everything you have running helamanthornton, even ObjectDock then reload only OD and see what happens.
