Help With Active Window Color

Hello,

I'm new to this and I cant bear to read another FAQ or tutorial at the moment seems how I have been trying to figure this out for about four hours now and can't find the answer. So here I am, hope someone can help.

I just purchased Object Desktop and I am using DuoPixel's Doublet skin which is great!...but I want to change the window color from White to Gray (the background color for open folders, notepad, ect.) if I go here: control panel/display/apperance/advanced settings/more advanced settings....and then window and change the color, the color will not be applied. It changes in the preview but when I close the control panel the color is not applied, also when I open the control panel again the preview color is back to white.

Is there another setting i need to make? Im still learning how to work the software, as it will take some time any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

It usually won't take effect until you restart your computer...?

Try opening the skin in Skin Studio and edit the colors there. Scroll down the center panel in skin studio to "classic Colors" and click and edit away. You might be a little overwhelmed by SS at first but, that is probably the best way to make sure the settings stick.

Oh yeah, I should add. "For Personal Use Only"

I figured out how to edit it in Skin Studio. And yes this is only for personal use. The overall colors of this skin are kind of dark so after looking at many of the windows and menus and then opening a folder with a white background, my eyes go crazy cause they seem so bright.
Thanks for the help!
