MS October update may slow older computers severely

Saw this article regarding coming updates and thought folks with older machines, specifically W10 machines updated to W11 might profit from reading it. 

Not going to get into the nitty gritty of quoting from the article...just take note that if you're severely affected by this update, there's a way to fix it without uninstalling/rolling back the good task bar fixes this update also has.

I don't and never have used Core Isolation. As far as I'm concerned, it's unnecessary if you are vigilant with your security.

One saving grace is that it doesn't like some older drivers, so many of those older PC's wont get it turned on. I believe this is why Microsoft has been focusing a lot of attention on hardware drivers lately. To get ready for this action of turning on Core Isolation.

I remember, years ago, that Microsoft wanted to lock down the Kernel, but too many developers (especially third party security app developers) lobbied against it. Locking down the kernel would have stopped most outside attacks on the OS. Core Isolation is an attempt to achieve something similar without upsetting those in the developer world.

I tried turning it on years ago, but my Epson printer driver prevented it.

I'm running a i7-7700K with 25H2 26200.9445
