Monitors of Different Resolution - Spread Out Icons - Fences Messed up

I have the latest Fences 6. Really, this is Windows issue that then effects Fences. So, a fix for either the Windows issue (probably not possible) or the Fences issue would be appreciated.

I have a 1080p Monitor and a 4k Monitor that I switch between each with their own scaling set higher than the default 100%. When switching between them, Windows will mess up and widen the Desktop spacing of the icons. A simple restart of the Explorer processes corrects the icon spacing, BUT Fences will resize due to Windows widening the spacing.

I know upscaling my 1080p monitor to 4K will possibly work, or possibly using 100% scaling for both monitors will work, but both of these options are not useable for me visually. I tried toggling the option in Fences to use the same spacing icon spacing inside and outside of Fences, neither option helps.

Is there any way to prevent Fences from resizing when the Windows's icon spacing gets widened, or maybe fix the root cause of Windows messing up the icon spacing?  Thanks!!!!

Hi, I think the latest beta, v6.58, might likely resolve this.

You can get it from your My Downloads page, or, here: https://stardockcorporation.sharepoint.com/:u:/s/software/IQDEfv7FjVL4TrD4TYwAJOsQAS69IWRyFOVPH0BirKYYwaM

If not, then yes advanced logging, reboot, reproduce, upload report can help us look into, but this update likely resolves!

Well, it seems I fixed the root cause of the Windows Icon spacing not staying the same when switching monitors.  I therefore cannot try the suggestion or the Beta.

The fix for Windows was one of 2 things. I tried both at the same time so I cannot tell what trouble shooting step worked.
1. Set the Icon Spacing and Icon Vertical Spacing in the Windows Registry to a value of -1125, or
2. Set the Windows option to show all system files to on, and delete any and all desktop.ini files on the desktop, of which I had a few.

If I encounter the issue again, I will make sure to let you guys know. I use a few Fences Pages and I think it is awesome product!
