Stupid Icon / Icon text problem.

Well for some reason, my icons on the desktop and in various applications are messed up. It seems that windows allign the icons too close so they overlap. Also the icon text seems a lot less wide, so two or tree rows of text under the icons is also normal for some odd reason.

How can I restore the icon allignment settings?

It happens with all sizes of icons.

As you can see this happens also in some application, so it must be some overall Window setting?

Try right clicking on the desktop or in a folder - go to Arrange IconsBy - and arrange your icons.

It doesn't..

It's allready arranged pr. auto and alligned via grid.
As mentioned it seems that the grid size has gone smaller or something in that direction.

I have also just tried uninstalling all my Stardock components in hope for normal settings, but it seems these settings are stuck. I belive it went this way during an icon change or suite change, but cant seem to find any settings relating to this problem. I have restored icon cache, changed back to normal icons, changed size of icons, added more icon cache memory, changed fonts in the windowblinds settings etc. etc.. nothing so far

You could try adjusting the size of the grid. Right click on any empty spot on your desktop. Click Properties, and then click the Appearance tab. If you have WindowBlinds loaded, you will have to click on the "Other advanced controls" button. Next click the Advanced button and you should find yourself in the "Advanced Appearances" window. Click on the pull-down window under "Item" and "Icon spacing (Horizontal)". Note there is also an "Icon spacing (Vertical)" too. Click on the size arrows to adjust the spacing. Do the same with Vertical. You may have to play with these settings a bit until you get the size/spacing you want. Click ok.

Note: You may also have to uncheck and recheck the "Align to grid" option before your icons will move into place.

I honestly don't know if this will affect your spacing in Explorer or other applications. I've never seen a problem like yours myself. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

Ahh that's where it's located

I still have a little problem with the text, but it def. gets better.
I'll have to investigate a little further.
